2008 NC SD Section CIF Softball Tournaments

EHS Cougar Classic

March 4th-8th Finals March 10th Kit Carson Park
  • Home Team determined by coin toss
  • Home Team is official scorer
  • Run Ahead Rule: 8 runs after 4 1\2 or 5 innings
  • Time Limit: No new inning after 1 hour 30 minutes in Pool Play Game may end in a tie
  • TB Pool Play: Top of 8th inning if time limit permits 
  • TB Bracket Play: Top of 8th inning or top of the first inning after time limit expires
  • Winner must be determined in Bracket Play
  • Each team will provide a new game ball
     (Dudley CFP-12)

NC Schools Tournament

March 15th Cardiff Sports Park
  • Games played at School sites, school team will be Home
  • Home Team is official scorer
  • Run Ahead Rule: 8 runs after 4 1\2 or 5 innings
  • Time Limit: No new inning after 1 hour 40 minutes
  • TB: Top of 8th, if time limit permits - maximum 2 innings Game may end in a tie
  • Each team will provide a new game ball
     (Dudley CFP-12)

TPHS Falcon Fiesta
  • Game time is promptly at 3:30 pm unless otherwise noted
  • Games played at School sites, school team will be Home
  • Run Ahead Rule: 8 runs after 4 1\2 or 5 innings
  • Time Limit: 1 hour 40 minutes unless they are tied
    a.) Games Tied after seven (7) innings will use the     TB, regardless of time
    b.) Games tied after eight (8) innings will use the TB, regardless of time
    c.) Games tied after nine (9) innings will remain a tie.
  • Each team will provide a new game ball
     (Dudley CFP-12)

RBVHS Longhorns Tournament

March 17th - 19th
  • Home Team determined by coin toss
  • Home Team is official scorer
  • Run Ahead Rule: 8 runs after 4 1\2 or 5 innings
  • Time Limit: In effect at RBVHS and VHS only -  
    No new inning after 1 hour 35 minutes
  • TB: Top of 8th, if time limit permits Game may end in a tie
  • Each team will provide a new game ball 
    (Dudley CFP-12)

RBHS Broncos JV Tournament

March 8, 15, Finals 29th
  • Home Team determined by coin toss
  • Home Team is official scorer
  • Run Ahead Rule: 10 runs after 4 1\2 or 5 innings
  • Time Limit: No new inning after 1 hour 30 minutes
    Game may end in a tie
  • Each team will provide a new game ball
